The name is an homage to both the model’s uncompromising layout and to the engine that powers it – with a massive 720 cv and a record specific power output of 185 cv/l, it is the most powerful V8 in Prancing Horse history for a non-special series car and sets the benchmark not just for turbos, but for engines across the board.
We drive the 797hp Dodge Challenger Hellcat Redeye
  by Ali Arsham
Muscle cars come in different flavors but it is safe to say that they have come a long way since the 60’s.  Some may argue that others have strayed from the original flavor, but the Dodge Challenger is probably the most authentic muscle car today.  It is the most traditional and it does not pretend to be anything else.  A muscle car needs lots of power and we thought that the Hellcat edition with 717 hp was all that we needed.  Dodge must have felt otherwise because for 2019 they have introduced the Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye with a full 797 hp.

The X3 has been a huge hit for BMW and they have sold more than 1.5 million since they launched the model in 2003. The all new X3 came out recently and they have tried to make improvements everywhere. One of the new X3 models is the first ever M Performance model in the X3 lineup, the X3 M40i. After driving the new M Performance model, we concluded that X3 is one of our favorites in the segment, at least until the full M version comes out.

Scenes from the 2019 Detroit Auto Show
  North America International Auto Show
As they convert over from cars powered by inefficient internal combustion engines to electric motors there wasn't much to show at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit this month. Only 30 new cars launched in front of sometimes nearly empty convention halls, down from 69 the year before. Many name brands didn’t bother to show up. Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Porsche, Jaguar, Land Rover, and Mitsubishi were official no-shows. Hopefully 2020 will be more exciting when the show moves to June.
Performance like never before
Walter Rohrl tests the Porsche Taycan
His first ride in the new Taycan was a few months ago. Even on just a short lap the car still left its mark, both on the development team to which he belonged at the time, and on Walter Rohrl himself: “It’s a very exciting time because technology is moving forward at an incredible rate. I’m anxious to see what the car can do compared with last time.”
